Halloween Poem

Home  :   Poems  :   Holidays   :   Halloween   :  As the night gets dark

As the night gets dark

The chilly wind is blowing through the night
Sending a shiver as you watch the frightful sight.

The witches, goblins and perinicious vampires
Wish to make you squeak before the day expires.

The flying bats that flutter in the night
Hang upside down in the Halloween moonlight.

They spread their wings to give you the terror
And to make you squeal they will make no error.

As the night gets dark the children are down the street
To scare you out with the "trick or treat".

Remember to close all the doors and windows tight
Anything scary can happen on a halloween night.
